HP, Kerala,UP enter Sub-jr National girls football quarterfinals

Bhubaneswar : Himachal Pradesh (HP), Kerala and Uttar Pradesh edged out (Western India Football Association) WIFA, Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Andhra Pradesh by 10-1, 2-0 and 15-0 respectively to notch their second wins in the league round matches and entered the quarterfinal rounds of the Sub Junior National Football Championship at Cuttack on Friday.

HP skipper Anju and striker Manisha Manisha took away the match from WIFA by scoring four and six goals respectively in the group-E league match.

Manisha opened the account for HP in the 15th minutes, nonstop-able Manisha netted another five goals in the 22nd, 39th, 45+2, 52nd and 81st minutes. Similarly, Anju scored in the 40th,42nd,72nd and 90+3 minutes, while Sakshi Hiwale of the WIFA scored the solitary goal in the 65th minutes just to reduce the winning margin.

In another high scoring match, rode on a seven goal by Muskan Khan and four goals haul by Manisha Vishwakarma powered Uttar Pradesh colts to win over Andhra Pradesh by 15-0 goals.

Neha Kumari was started the goal showers in the fourth minutes, while Muskan was joined the party by scoring in the 6th,12th,22nd,27th,58th,86th and 87th minutes.

Manisha was complimented Muskan by nailing four goals in the 8th,20th,39th and 67th minutes. In between Nida Ibrahim scored a goal in 18th , while Gudiya Kumari netted double goals in the 62nd and 68th minutes in the group-G match. In another match Bihar edged out Gujarat by 3-0 goals in the same group.

. In a low soring group-F league match, M Sona draw the first blood in the 24th minutes and Kerala team scripted 1-0 lead against MP by the end of first-half. After the change of sides, Nandana Krishnan nailed the wining goal for Kerala in the 72nd minute. .
