26 School teams to join Basketball league

Bhubaneswar : Altogether 26 school teams will join in the Bhubaneswar chapter of Indian School Basketball League for Boys’ and Girls’ to be organized by Bhubaneswar Basketball Association under the auspices of Basketball Federation of India and Odisha Basketball Association from August 16 to 31 at Unit-1 Indoor Hall Basketball Complex here.

The players born on or after 01.01.2000 are eligible to take part in the 16 days tournament will be played in the league cum knock out format. The champion teams of both the categories will represent the State in the forthcoming All India School Basketball League.

Indian School Basketball League will create a structured, self-sustaining system which will serve as the platform to increase organized basketball participation at grassroots level and subsequently serve as the talent development system for the Indian National Teams
