Odisha bag 4 gold medals in Savate National meet

Bhubaneswar : A 10-member Odisha team comprises of eight players and two officials bagged eight medals including four gold, two silver and two bronze in the 2nd National Savate Championship, which concluded at Chandigarh on Saturday.

Altogether 200 players and 27 officials from across 18 States were take part in the three day meet. It is for the first time Odisha State took part in National Savate Championship after getting trained under the leadership of Master Pruthwiraj Harichandan, Founder & General Secretary of Savate Association of Odisha.

The State team has been selected during 1st Odisha State Savate Championship held at Bhubaneswar held in July 2018.

No matter we had a small team in the Nationals but all the praise and eyes were only on these Odisha Players in the entire Nationals as they were Technically and Knowledge wise very strong among others said Master Pruthwiraj.

Medalists:Gold Medalists: Shivsadhan Hansda (Cadet Boys - Assaut), Ashutosh Khadanga (Cadet Boys - Assaut), Harshita Pradhan (Cadet Girls - Assaut), Sthitapragyan Mohanty (Senior Boys - Combat),

Silver Medalists: Anwesha Pallai (Cadet Girls - Assaut), Arpit Behera (Cadet Boys - Assaut)

Bronze :Priyanka Tripathy (bronze Sub Jr. Girls - Assaut), Aafrina Jahur (Senior Girls - Combat) .
