KDCA to host chess meet without entry fee

Bhubaneswar : Khordha District Chess Association (KDCA) is going to set a example for the other chess association of the State by hosting Odisha State Open Chess Championship -2018, where the players will take part without giving any entry fees at Mindtree Kalinga in Infocity here from December 26 to 28.

The young players will get a chance to increase their rating without paying any entry fee, only the Odisha players are eligible to participate in this three days seven round event. Maximum 150 players will be registered in the tournament as first come first serve basis, informed KDCA secretary Subhasis Patnaik.

Trophies will be distributed among 45 winners including 10 merit holders, three winners each in boys and girls section in U-7 , U-9 , U-11 , U-13 , U-15 and five winners in women section. To educate the players chess books will be distributed among the players. .
