BCCI to follow Govt decision on Pakistan match

Bhubaneswar : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stand is crestal clear that “We will respect the decision of the Government” with regards to playing Pakistan in the forthcoming World Cup in the waka up of the Pulwama terrorist attack on CRPF trop, said BCCI acting president C.K. Khanna at Cuttack on Sunday.

Khanna was came along with his family to visit Lord Jagannath at Puri. Simultaneously he made a visit to the Barabati Stadium where the Shyad Mustaq Ali Trophy matches are going on.

“The Committee of Administrators (CoA) recently announced that whatever the government advices, the BCCI will act accordingly. However, both the countries should play but the board will go by the decision of the government. Nevertheless, everybody should take it with a positive frame of mind and we hope that everything will work out well,” Khanna added.

Khanna also expressed due to the financial condition the State association are facing lot of problems to conduct different domestic cricket and coaching camps for the players. I am hopeful the restriction on the State association will be remove soon. He also meet former Odisha Cricket Association secretary Ashirvad Behera and Chairman AdHoc Committee Orissa Cricket Dhiren Pille. .
