Oscar win Aurobinda Memorial Cricket inaugural

Bhubaneswar : A four wickets haul by Suvandev Behera guided Oscar sporting to win the inaugural match of the Aurobinda Memorial Cricket Champion Trophy, defeating Paramount (b) by five wickets at Paramount Ground here on Sunday. With the sp0linded win Oscar entered the quarterfinals.

Winning the toss, Paramount elected to bat first, Suvandev and Saransh Rout of the Oscar team pocketed four and three wickets respectively to restrict Paramount (B) for 145 in 38.5 overs. Sidheswar Parida and Sayad Jamal Ahmad was contributed 34 and 30 runs respectively for Paramount.

In replay, an unbeaten 24-ball 44 run by Jagit Das powered the Oscar team to reach the winning target in 28.2 overs for the loss of five wickets. Suvandev of the winning team bagged the man of the match award.
