Biswa, Sahil receive Krida Pratibha Samman

Bhubaneswar : CFH Catering and Poonam Youth Welfare Organisation (PYWO) in association with Lions Club Cuttack Mahanadi organised the first Krida Pratibha Samman and Late Gajendra Kanungo Achievement Award. The ceremony was conducted at Odisha Police High School to felicitate Biswa Sarangi, international hockey technical staff and Sahil Nayak for representing Indian Schools.

Biswa Ranjan Sarangi is all set to travel to Dhaka on Sunday for the Asia Cup hockey championship. He was awarded the Late Gajendra Kanungo Memorial Achievement Award for his service to the game of hockey and his achievement in officiating matches.

Sahil Nayak's father received a citation on behalf of his mother Sujata Nayak who was felicitated for guiding and inspiring Sahil to play hockey. Young kids were presented with hockey sticks for their upliftment while former national level players Tapas Das, Ranjan Das, Amar Mohanty and Niranjan Gouda were honored for their contribution towards hockey in coastal Odisha.

District Sports Officer of Cuttack Rashmi Ranjan Samantaray was the chief guest along with Janaki Sahoo, head mistress, Odisha Police High School and Social worker D Prakash Rao.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Gyanesh Kanungo, the founder and coach of the organisation in presence of Santosh Sahoo and other members of PYWO. .
