Sportslogon Team November 8th 2017

Bhubaneswar : Cool and calm Tamil Nadu team aiming for a win against host Odisha to elevate their position in the point standing in their fourth Group-C Ranji Trophy match at DRIEMS Ground in Tangi on Thursday.

Rain affected the match, it was good to beat Mumbai in Mumbai which we were missed but got first innings lead. We are in the fourth place in the Group-C point table, our first aim to enter the qualify round. Now we had good momentum for coming three matches, said Tamil Nadu Captain Abhinav Mukund.

We are playing without Ravichandran Ashwin for quit long and in other hand we are having our strong bench strength. Murali Vijya is back for the game definitely a gain for the team. In other hand Odisha lost outrightly in their last match against Mumbai, their confidence most bit down we will capitalize the situation, added Mukund.

This is not a new ground for us, in the last year we played a match here against Madhya Pradesh at that time it was raining, but now it is altogether a different climate here, we are hopeful for a good match. The young stars are shaped up really well and matured quickly, it is a grate addition to my team. added Mukund.

Though we are in a plan to gather maximum points from this match, That does not mean go into a match thinking it is a full points game. Until the match progress we can't predict how many points will be needed. But when the opportunity is there, we should cash in and pounce on the opponents. added Mukund.

This a big game for us we are up for the challenge. The top order batsman, specially the openers were not contributed, as the team expected from them. I am expecting they will preform against Tamil Nadu, because this will be a crucial game for us, said Odisha Coach Siba Sundar Das.

State U-23 wicketkeeper Rajesh Duppar joined the team, his moral is high as recently he scored two centuries in U-23 cricket. In the matches with Andhra Pradesh and also in Mumbai match we were missed catches in vital time, which was gave chance to the opponent to gather big score, added Siba Sundar. .
