35 women footballers join FIFA workshop

Bhubaneswar : Altogether 35 best women footballers of our country are attending the FIFA Workshop and a Refreshers Course, which was inaugurated at OCA Conference Hall, Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday.

They will be trained under the guidance of German based UEFA-A license coach Anja Plausevic , she is also AFC technical officer. She will be assisted by Indian National women football team head coach Maymol Rockey , assistant coach Chouba Devi and goalkeeping coach Ronibala Chanu.

Total 25 women football coaches will take part in the coaching refreshers course which will begin from March 7, wherein Odisha’s three women football coaches Sradhanjali Samntray, Gitanjali Khuntia and Mamata Kumari Samanta will also participate

Cuttack city Mayor Minakhsi Behera was inaugurated the workshop in presence of Akanshya Chhiber (AIFF – Women Football), Dillip Kumar Sahoo (Vice President – FAO), Sangita Sharma (Joint Secretary- FAO),Bijya Kumar Das (Joint Secretary- FAO) and Ranjan Biswal (Corporator- CMC). .
