In the last edition eight teams were in the ISL, after the inclusion of Jamshedpur and Bengaluru it becomes 10 teams. All the teams will play 18 league round matches and top four teams will play the play off matches.

Sitting pretty at the top of the standings, Bengaluru FC have already secured qualification with 34 points while Jamshedpur FC need a crucial win to retain themself for the play off matches.

It will be more interesting when both teams meet each other in their 17 league round matches. While, Bengaluru got the reputation as the most attacking team of this edition and JFC seems to be strong in their defence line.

The three teams Chennaiyin FC, Jamshedpur FC and Kerala Blasters FC who have 28, 26, and 24 points respectively from 16 matches and fighting tough to enter the top four place.

The match results will hardly make any difference to Bangaluru’s pool standing. While JFC who had adopted Kalinga Stadium as their new home ground, need to win the match here. Earlier in their home away-match, JFC win over Bengaluru FC by 1-0 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. .
