Dutee bags gold in Indian Grand Prix

Bhubaneswar : India’s fastest women sprinter Dutee Chand bagged another 100 metre gold medal by clocking 11.57 seconds in the Run Adam Indian Grand Prix-1 at Patiala on Tuesday.

18-year-old Hima Das too gave a strong account of herself with a personal best timing of 11.74 seconds bagged the silver medal, while Prajna S Prakash of Karnataka got the bronze medal in the 100 metre women event with 11.76 seconds.

Women thrower of the State, Prabati Sethi was fetched a silver medal in the Discus event with a distance of 42.58 mretre. Another Odia athlete Purnima Hembram also managed to step on the podium with a best effort of 5.99m to claim the bronze medal in the women Long Jump event. .
