Bhubaneswar : Lack of coordination between Football Association of Odisha and the All India Football Federation was created confusion among the spectators of were purchased tickets to see the inaugural match of the Hero Super Cup at Kalinga Stadium here on Saturday.

Earlier, it was announced that the tickets will be available online pricing Rs 50 and Rs 100, while tickets pricing Rs 20, Rs 30, Rs 50 and Rs 100 for different stands. As per the AIFF guidelines before fixing the price for the event, they had discussed with the host.

The Sports and Youth Services Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera was made a clear cut announcement that the tickets rate will be Rs 20 for all the stands, in a press meet here on March 29, where the Football Association of Odisha President Debasis Samantray and Sports Department OSD Chanchal Rana were present.

I had been to the counter on the match day evening to book my tickets from the box office at the venue. They had charged Rs 100 for two tickets of the East Block C, said Lelin Mallick.

Most unfortunate incident was that, when the Minister assured that people who were booked their tickets online with higher price will gate back the money, but the reality specks something different.

As the State Sports and Youth Services Department is the joint organising partner for the event, they most interfere in the matter to resolve the issue. .
