Stewart School enter PVR Murthy quarterfinals

Bhubaneswar : A 58-balls 62 run haul by Dev Karnani helped New Stewart School to enter the quarterfinals of the PVR Murthy Inter School Cricket Tournament, defeating Ranihat High School by 10 runs at BOSE Ground in Cuttack on Wednesday.

Winning the toss Ranihat High School elected to field first, Dev Karnani’s 62 runs studded with 10 boundaries, ensure the New Stewart School to gather a healthy 160 for 9 in 25 overs.

In reply, Ranihat manage to score 150 for 7 in 25 overs with Satyajit Naik scored 32 runs. Sanjay Khan was the most successful bowler, picking three wickets for 32 runs, While Ayush Shukla, Ashish Das and Dev Karnani were pocketed a wicket each. Sayed Seminary School will meet PM Academy School on Thursday.

Brief score: New Stewart School 160/9 in 25 overs (Dev Karnani 62, Sahil Khan 27: Satyajit Naik 2/27) beat Ranihat High School 150/7 in 25 overs (Satyajit Naik 32, Rudra Mudgal 26; Sanjay Khan 3/32) by 10 runs. .
