KISS thrash Saraswati to enter PVR Murthy quarterfinals

Bhubaneswar : A five wickets haul by Rohit Gamango powered KISS School of Bhubaneswar enter the quarterfinal of the 13th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament, winning over Saraswati Sishu Mandir,Mahanadi Vihar by massive 229 runs at BOSE Ground in Cuttack on Monday.

Being invited to bat first, KISS scored a massive 266 for 7 in 25 overs with Nividatya Mallick and Ramesh Meleka scored 59-ball 76 and 27-ball 71 runs respectively while Salman Salpadia contributed 39-ball 45 runs.

In reply, the KISS bowlers dominated the innings by picking wickets in regular intervals and restricted Saraswati Sishu Mandir for 37 in 14 overs. Rohit was the most devastating bowler from KISS scalped five wickets for four runs and adjudged as the man of the match, while Rajin Mallick and Chiku Pradhan pocketed two wickets each. In the pre-quarterfinal match, DAV Public School, CDA will face Secondary Board High School on Tuesday.

Brief score: KISS 266/7 in 25 overs (Navidatya Mallick 76, Ramesh Melaka 71, Salman Salpadia 45; Pullav Parshiv Sahoo 3/43, Rahul Majhi 3/59) beat Saraswati Sishu Mandir 37/10 in 14 overs (Rohit Gamango 5/4,Rajin Mallick 2/4,Chiku Pradhan 2/14) by 229 runs. .
