20 junior footballers likely to join Bengaluru FC final trail

Bhubaneswar : After the inception of the Sports Hostel Odisha Under-15 and Under-18 football teams in the Indian Y League Football Tournament this tear year, the junior boys were displayed tremendous potential in the national circuit, which attracted the Bengaluru F C coach Ajaya Chorge to conduct a selection and trail camp here at Kalinga Stadium during the period of inter-hostel tournament at Kalinga Stadium here.

As a part of their endeavour to promote elite football talents and train players from a young age, the Bengaluru F C junior coach Ajay Chorge spent more then a week at the capital city.

Currently, they are looking for youth in the Under-15 and Under-18 age categories. Those players who displayed exceptional talent during the tournament were shortlisted, and will have to undergo a final selection, before the chosen candidates will relocate to the academy in Vijayanagar.

Sources said, they were finalised near about 20 Under-15 plyers from the State.This will be their first step towards professional football. Hope they will prove their best of the potential to seize the opportunity and become superstars in the future under the Bengaluru F C banner.

Ajay Chorge who gone through a month coaching training program at Blackburn Rovers Football Academy in England expressed “I had been to Punjab, West Bengal and Jharkhand before reaching here, these Odisha players are more discipline and educated in comparison to all. The most beautiful thing I had marked here that these young boys are keen to learn football”.

The State Government proved their potential by hosting the first edition of the Hero Super Cup here at Kalinga Stadium with a short notice and our Bengaluru F C emerged champion. We will definitely pick up some of the Odisha talent to our academy, added Chorge. .
