Sprinters Sukhi, Krishna to join high altitude training camp

Bhubaneswar : Under the scheme of GAIL India speed Star Programme two of Odisha’s athletes Sukhi Baskey and Krishna Munda have been selected to join the high altitude training camp is going at Dharmasala from May 31 to June 30.

Sukhi and Krishna are the inmates of State run sports hostel of Sundargarh and Bhubaneswar respectively.

Earlier, both young talented sprinter Sukhi and Krishna had undergone one month training at the prestigious Racers Track Club in Kingston, Jamaica founded by Glen Mills which is the training ground of champions such as Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.

They were selected under the sachem of GAIL Indian Speed Star as part of an initiative to search national talent in athletics and groom future stars for Olympics 2020 and 2024 in track events. .
