Bhubaneswar : Mohammedan Sporting Club’s Ivorian midfielder Bazie Armand has arrived in Kolkata to play the upcoming 2018/19 Calcutta Premier Division - A on Sunday afternoon.

The 26-year-old, who won the I-League for Minerva Punjab last season, was welcomed by Club’s Youth Development Chairman Mr. Hasnain Ahmed and Youth Development Vice-Chairman Sheikh Wasim Akram at airport.

Known for his dogged displays in the middle of the park, Bazie began his career in India with Rainbow AC in Calcutta Premier Division - A last season, and was signed by East Bengal ahead of 2017/18 I-League.

Despite some decent performances East Bengal released Bazie in January after losing twice against arch-rivals Mohun Bagan in I-League. However, it did not take long for Bazie to found a new home as he was roped by Minerva for whom he eventually won the title.

“I am delighted to sign for Mohammedan Sporting Club. It’s a big club with top players and passionate fans.” said Bazie.

“I can’t wait to get started now. I believe it can be a special season for all of us and I will be working hard to produce the kind of performances that will help us achieve what we are aiming for,” he further added. .
