State U-25 chess begins

Bhubaneswar : Current State champion and top seeded Rajesh Nayak of Puri gathered two points by end of two rounds and jointly shared the top place along with 18 others in the inaugural day of the State U-25 Chess Championships at Raj Mandap in Chandrashekharpur here on Friday. While Sandeep Priyadarshini Sahoo placed in the second place with 1.5 points.

Total 86 players are taking part in the three day long seven rounds tournament, being organised by Khurda district Chess association.

The top four finishers of the tournament will represent the State in the coming National U-25 Chess Championships. .
