276 taking part in Kulamani memorial chess

Bhubaneswar : Record number of 276 players including 68 girls are participating in the Kulamani Tripathy Memorial Chess Tournaments at East Coast Railway Indoor Stadium in Cuttack on Saturday, being organised by S R Chess Centre.

Players from across 16 districts, 60 schools and 42 international rated players are fighting for the honour.

Top seeded Aditya Samal of Rourkela leading with three points along with 30 others by the end of third rounds.

World Junior Blind Chess silver medalists Soundarya Pradhan, sports journalist Debi Prasan Mohanty and PET Banamali Bisoei were felicitated on the occasion.

East Coasty Railway Senior DPO Suresh Behera inaugurated the meet in presence of Kulamani Tripathy Foundation Chirman Rajnarayan Tripathy, Krushna Chanda Ichi, Kishor Ranjan Prdhan and S R Centre Secretary Satya Ranjan Patnaik .
