Paramount win U-19 Triangular Cricket League

Bhubaneswar : A 64-run haul by Manitej Mohanty guided the host Paramaount Sporting to become champion of the U-19 Triangular Cricket League, defeating Rising Students of Cuttack by 55 runs at Paramount Ground here on Sunday.

Electing to bat first, Paramount scored 182 for 9 in 40 overs with Manitej and Sudarshan swain contributed 64 and 34 runs respectively. Abhijit Sahu of the Rising Students was the most successful bowler picking four wickets.

In reply, Paramonut bowlers were dominated the show from the beginning, by pocketing four wickets by Aniket Tripathy, while Priya Ranjan and Ashutosh Nayak bagged two wickets each to restricted Rising Students 127 in 33 overs.

Manitej Mohanty and Minal Parida bagged the man of the final and man of the series awards respectively. While Anil Parida, Aniket Tripathy, Soyam Sarthak Routray and Abhijit Tripathy were received the best batsman, bowler, fielder and wicketkeeper of the tournament awards respectively

. Cricket coach Kishor Mania gave away the prizes in presence of Pramount Sporting president Pratap Jena and secretary Ashok Patra.
