Media-XI win Tata friendship cup

Bhubaneswar : Defending champion Media-XI asserted their supremacy by winning the Tata Friendship Cup Cricket tournament for the seventh time in a row, defeating Bureaucrats-XI by two runs at Kalinga Stadium here on Saturday.
Batting first Media-XI scored 61 for 6 in 10 overs with Manoj Mohapatra scored highest 37 runs, while Rama Swami and Debi Priya Biswal of Bureaucrats-XI pocketed two wickets each.
In reply, Bureaucrats-XI manage to score 59 for 8 in 10 overs. Media-XI bowlers Faizal Ali, Sukesh Behera and Abdul Aziz were grabbed wickets each to restrict Bureaucrats-XI 59 for 8 in 10 overs.
Manoj Mahapatra, Jagadish Das and Sukesh Behera were adjudged as the best batsman, all-rounder and fielder awards respectively. While Ramaswami and Sambit Das of Tata won the best bowler and wicketkeeper awards respectively. .
