KISS enter PVR Murthy cricket quarterfinals

Bhubaneswar : A five wicket haul by Amod Majhi of KISS guided the team into the quarterfinals of the 12th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament-2017 at BOSE Ground in Cuttack on Tuesday.

Winning the toss KISS elected to bat first, combined batting effort by Chandra Mohan Soren (29), Ansuman Sinha (26), Ashok Majhi (22) and Budhadeva Kanhar (22 n.o) was ensured KISS to put a healthy 168 for 7 in 25 overs.

In reply, Ravenshaw Collegiate School was bowled out for 41 in 13.3 overs. Amod of KISS was caused maximum damage by picking five wickets, while Budhadev Kanhar and Ramesh Meleka pocketed double wickets each.

Brief Score: KISS 168/7 in 25 overs (Chandra Mohan Soren 29, Ansuman Sinha 26, Ashok Majhi 22, Budhadeva Kanhar 22 n.o; Pritam Sethi 2/23) beat Ravenshaw Collegiate School 41/10 in 13.3 overs (Amod Majhi 5/18, Budhadev Kanhar 2/11, Ramesh Meleka 2/5) by 127 runs. .
