Jobra beat Seminary in PVR Murthy cricket

Bhubaneswar : The brilliant all-round effort by Binayak Sahoo, who scored and unbeaten 27-ball 30 run and pocketed three wickets and guided Jobra Municipal School into the quarterfinal of the 12th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament, defeating Sayeed Seminary School by seven wickets at BOSE Ground in Cuttack on Thursday.

Winning the toss Sayeed Seminary School elected to bat first, the discipline bowling of Jobra was restricted Sayeed Seminary for 76 in 12 overs, with Binayak, Sridhar Das and Ranjan Nayak were picking three wickets each.

Chasing the target, Binayak was smashed an unbeaten 30 runs and Jobra reached the winning target in 11.2 overs by losing three wickets and adjudged as the man of the match.

In the quarterfinal matches, KIIT, Bhubaneswar and Jobra of Cuttack will meet P M Academy and Odisha Police School both of Cuttack on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Brief Score: Sayeed Seminary School 76/10 in 12 overs (Binayak Sahoo 3/8, Sridhar Das 3/18, Ranjan Nayak 3/18) lost to Jobra Municipal High School 77/3 in 11.2 overs ( Binayak Sahoo 30 n.o; Attulla Khan 2/13) by 7 wickets. .
