ST.Gregorious bags Harmohan Inter-school Cricket title

Bhubaneswar : St.Gregorious School emerged champion in the 3rd edition of the Harmohan Praharaj Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament defeating Deepika English Medium School (DEMS) by 29 runs in the final played at the Sector-18 ground on Sunday.
It was organized under the aegis of the Rourkela Gymkhana, a premier cricket club in Odisha, in memory of the former Odisha captain for Duleep Trophy (Late) Harohan Praharaj.
Batting first the winner team amassed 126 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs with Sanat Mahato and Saurav Singh scoring 39 and 23 runs respectively, while Biplab Sahoo took three wickets conceding 16 runs.
Chasing the target the DEMS team bundled out for 97 runs in 19.3 overs with Sameer Senapati hitting 29 runs and Gautam S taking three wickets for 17 runs.
Sanat Mahato walked away with the player of the final and best bowler awards, while Sameer was adjudged best batsman.
As chief guest NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd General Manager AK Tiwari gave away the prizes in the presence of Deputy General Manager for Sports of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) Hiralal Mohapatra and RSP Executives and First Class Cricketers Manoj Patel and Avinash Khatua.
Gymkhana Vice-President Sandipta Das, Secretary R Srikant, Joint Secretary CD Sunil, male and women cricketers playing for Odisha and a host of former Ranji Trophy players were present. .
