New Stewart enter PVR Murthy quarterfinal

Bhubaneswar : All-round performance by Spandan Sabat, who pocketed three wickets and contributed 27 runs helped New Stewart School to win over Stewart School by three wickets and entered the quarterfinals of the 12th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament at BOSE Ground in Cuttack on Wednesday.
Winning the toss, Stewart School elected to bat first but lost wickets in regular intervals. They were bowled out for 113 in 20 overs. The maximum 42 runs was accounted through extras.
Spandan was the most successful bowler for New Stewart school,picking three wickets for 13 run, while Suprav S scalped two wickets.
In reply, New Stewart was also suffered from the beginning, however Spandan Nitish P were consolidated the innings by contributing 34-ball 27 and 37-ball 25 run respectively and the team was scripted a three wicket victory.
Cambridge School will meet Secondary Board High School both Cuttack teams in the group-B quarterfinal match on Thursday.
Brief score: Stewart School113/10 in 20 overs (Jyoti Prakash 24; Spandan Sabat 3/13, Suprav S 2/20) lost to New Stewart School 117/7 in 20 overs (Spandan Sabat 27, Nitish P 25; Smaranjit Sabat 3/22) by three wickets. .
