Cambridge enter PVR Murthy semis

Bhubaneswar : Cambridge School edged out Secondary Board High School by seven wickets and entered the semifinal of the 12th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament at BOSE Ground in Cuttack on Thursday.

. Winning the toss, Cambridge elected to field, the discipline bowling by Cambridge bowlers skittle out Secondary School for 70 in 17.2 overs. Masud Ahamad of Cambridge was scalped maximum three wickets for 17 run and bagged the man of the match award. Sambit Mohnaty and Abhinab Mishra pocketed two wickets each.

In reply, Cambridge reached the victory target in 11 overs with Govinda Rao’s 29 run. CDA, DAV will face New Stewart School both Cuttack teams in the quarterfinal match on Thursday.

Brief score: Secondary Board High School 70/10 in 17.2 overs (Masuf Ahmad 3/17, Sambit Mohanty 2/14, Abhinab Mishra 2/19) lost to Cambridge School 72/3 in 11 overs (Govind Rao 29; Kartik Behera 3/22) by 7 wickets. .
