Cuttack girls, Mayurbhanj boy win Oorja U-19 football

Bhubaneswar : Cuttack girls and Mayurbhanj boys emerged champion of the "Oorja- Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Youth Under-19 Football talent Hunt Tournament - 2017 for boys and girls which concluded at KIIT Stadium on Sunday,

. In the girls final match, Cuttuck defeated Sundergarh by 2-0 and became the winning team of girls category of tournament. Deepa Nayak and Sasmita Behara of the winning team scored a goal each in the 42nd and 54th minutes respectively. However the boys final match between Mayurbhanj and Rourkela Steel Plant ended in draw. Mayurbhanj won in sudden death in a thrilling and breath taking match.

Susmita Tanty and Rahul Mukhi were received the best girl and boys player of the meet. Earlier, Bhubaneswar girls and Sambalpur boys finished third.

The winners, runner up and the third position team were awarded with cash prize of Rs.50000, 30000, and 20000 respectively. Odisha Governor SC Jamir gave away the prizes as the chief guest of the closing ceremony. .
