BGC to train 120 tribal students in ILGW

Bhubaneswar : In a bid to papularise and provide platform to new golfer to learn the basics of the game, Bhubaneswar Golf Club (BGC) in association with Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS) will provide training to 125 tribal students at Bhubaneswar Golf Club golf practice range here on September 28 to 29 as a part of India Learn Golf Week (ILGW) programme.

The weeklong programme is an initiative of the Golf Industry Association (GIA) in partnership with the Indian Golf Union (IGU) is ongoing at 50 golf clubs and driving ranges of the country from September 26 to October 1, The ILGW aim is to attract 100,000 new Indian golfers.

The aim of drive is to make the game more and more accessible probably as much as any other sport. The game of golf can be played alone as well as with your family and it is meant for all age groups, said Bhubaneswar Golf Club Captain P K Mohanty. .
